Biological Activity

Toxoflavin (Xanthothricin) is an antagonist of transcription factor 4 (TCF4)/β-catenin complex, also acts as an inhibitor of KDM4A, with antitumor and antibiotic activity. Toxoflavin (Xanthothricin) disrupts the Tcf4/b-catenin complex and inhibits expression of Tcf4 responsive genes. Toxoflavin (PKF118-310) inhibits expression of survivin and induces apoptosis in HCC, colon tumor and lymphocytic leukemia cell lines.
