Biological Activity

Diallyl disulfide is naturally found in garlic, which may provide protection against cardiovascular disease. It shows anticancer and anti-oxidant properties. Diallyl disulfide activates the TRPA1 ion channel in vitro. It is also an apoptosis inducer.
