Budesonide is a glucocorticoid steroid for the treatment of asthma, non-infectious rhinitis. Budesonide reverses DNA hypomethylation and modulates expression of cancer related genes. Budesonide prevents formation of lung adenomas and adenocarcinomas in mice following inhalation or oral administration.
