Biological Activity

TGF-beta 1 protein, Mouse is a multifunctional cytokine that controls many biological processes including immunity, differentiation, tumor suppression, tumor metastasis, aging, migration, wound healing, apoptosis, cell division, adipogenesis, and osteogenesis.

ED50 is 5-25 pg/ml, measured by its ability to inhibit IL-4-dependent proliferation of TF-1 human erythroleukemic cells.

Accession # P04202

Apparent Molecular Weight: ~12.8 kDa, reducing conditions

Endotoxin < 1 EU/μg

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in 4 mM HCl.

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
