Overview of Recombinant Proteins
Recombinant proteins are produced using recombinant DNA or RNA genetic engineering technology in host cells. Common host cells include bacteria (like E. coli), mammalian cells, insect cells, and yeast. As a modified form of natural proteins, recombinant proteins are generated by gene modification, which can cause mutant protein expression to boost protein production and alter gene sequences. They cover cytokines, growth factors, receptors, enzymes, viral proteins, etc. AbMole's recombinant proteins feature excellent batch-to-batch consistency, outstanding bioactivity, and low endotoxin levels.
