Biological Activity

Recombinant Rat IL-4 Protein is a multidirectional cytokine that regulates various T cell and B cell responses such as cell proliferation, survival, and gene expression. IL-4 is produced by mast cells, T cells and bone marrow stromal cells, and regulates the differentiation of naive CD4+ T cells into helper Th2 cells. Its cytokine secretion features include secretion of IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, and IL- 10 and IL-13, are conducive to humoral immune response. The other main function of IL-4 is to regulate the conversion of immunoglobulins into IgG 1 and IgE subtypes.

Depends on its ability to stimulate the proliferation of TF-1 cells, the expected ED50 is 200~400 ng/ml.

Expression host is Human HEK293 cells

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.

Related Recombinant Proteins Products
Recombinant Human IL-10 (CHO)

Interleukin-10 (IL-10) is usually secreted as a homodimer and, upon binding to its receptor, inhibits the synthesis of a number of cytokines, including IFN-gamma, IL-2, IL-3, TNF and GM-CSF produced by activated macrophages and Th2 cells.

Recombinant Human IL-5 (CHO)

Interleukin-5 (IL-5) is responsible for the activities attributed to eosinophil differentiating factor, B cell growth factor II and T cell-replacing factor (TRF). IL-5 plays an important role in inducing cell-mediated immunity against parasitic infections and certain tumors.

Recombinant Human Tau-F Protein (E.coli)

Tau proteins are proteins which contain four Tau/MAP repeats. They promote microtubule assembly and stability, and might be involved in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal polarity.

Recombinant Human Tau Protein (E. coli, His Tag)

Tau proteins are proteins that stabilize microtubules. Tau protein is a highly soluble microtubule-associated protein (MAP). In humans, these proteins are mostly found in neurons compared to non-neuronal cells. One of tau's main functions is to modulate the stability of axonal microtubules.

Recombinant Rat IL-23 Protein (HEK293, C-His)

IL-23 (IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer) Protein is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing rat-derived IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer protein, expressed by HEK293.
