Biological Activity

Recombinant Mouse IL-10 (CHO) belongs to the IL-10 family and shares more than 80% sequence homology with the Epstein-Barr Virus protein BCRFI. It is usually secreted as a homodimer and, upon binding to its receptor, inhibits the synthesis of a number of cytokines, including IFN-gamma, IL-2, IL-3, TNF and GM-CSF, by activated macrophages and Th2 cells. Recombinant Mouse IL-10 also displays the ability to suppress Antigen-Presenting Cell (APC) function.

ED50 < 0.2 ng/ml, measured in a cell proliferation assay using MC/9 cells.

Accession #: P18893

Apparent Molecular Weight: 21~23 kDa, on SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Lyophilized after extensive dialysis against PBS.

Chemical Information
Solubility (25°C) Reconstitute the lyophilized powder in ddH2O or PBS up to 100 μg/ml
Storage Stable for up to 6 months at lower than -70°C. Upon reconstitution, the product should be stable for up to 1 week at 4°C or up to 3 months at -20°C.

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.

Tau proteins are proteins which contain four Tau/MAP repeats. They promote microtubule assembly and stability, and might be involved in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal polarity.

Recombinant Human Tau Protein (E. coli, His Tag)

Tau proteins are proteins that stabilize microtubules. Tau protein is a highly soluble microtubule-associated protein (MAP). In humans, these proteins are mostly found in neurons compared to non-neuronal cells. One of tau's main functions is to modulate the stability of axonal microtubules.

Interleukin-6 (IL-6), also known as BSF-2, CDF and IFNB2, is a pleiotropic cytokine that participates in both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses.
