Biological Activity

Recombinant Human Vimentin Protein is a type III intermediate filament protein, which mainly exists in cells of mesenchymal origin, such as vascular endothelial cells and blood cells, and is the main component of the cytoskeleton. Vimentin is an active participant in the important process of cell organization and protein regulation. It is involved in the anchoring of organelles, the development of astrocytes and the disintegration of cellular components during apoptosis.

The recombinant human Vimentin protein contains 477 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 55.11 KDa.

Expression host is Baculovirus-Insect Cells

A DNA sequence encoding the human VIM (Met1-Glu466) (P08670) was expressed with a C-terminal polyhistidine tag.

Lyophilized from sterile 40% acetonitrile, 0.1% TFA

Chemical Information
Solubility (25°C) Reconstituted in ddH2O at 250 μg/ml
Storage Stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃
Conversion of different model animals based on BSA (PMID: 27057123)
Species Mouse Rat Rabbit Guinea pig Hamster Dog
Weight (kg) 0.02 0.15 1.8 0.4 0.08 10
Body Surface Area (m2) 0.007 0.025 0.15 0.05 0.02 0.5
Km factor 3 6 12 8 5 20
Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.

Recombinant Human Tau-F Protein (E.coli)

Tau proteins are proteins which contain four Tau/MAP repeats. They promote microtubule assembly and stability, and might be involved in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal polarity.

Recombinant Human Tau Protein (E. coli, His Tag)

Tau proteins are proteins that stabilize microtubules. Tau protein is a highly soluble microtubule-associated protein (MAP). In humans, these proteins are mostly found in neurons compared to non-neuronal cells. One of tau's main functions is to modulate the stability of axonal microtubules.

Recombinant Rat IL-23 Protein (HEK293, C-His)

IL-23 (IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer) Protein is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing rat-derived IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer protein, expressed by HEK293.

Recombinant Rat IL-6 (HEK293)

Interleukin-6 (IL-6), also known as BSF-2, CDF and IFNB2, is a pleiotropic cytokine that participates in both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses.

Recombinant Rat IL-12 (Mammalian, C-6His)

Interleukin 12 (IL-12) has important immunological functions. IL12 facilitates hematopoietic stem cell proliferation, induces NK cell proliferation, and potentiates the expansion and late activation of Th1 CD4+ T cells.
