Recombinant Human MMP-2 (also known as matrix metalloproteinase-2) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the MMP2 gene. It belongs to the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family. MMP-2 can act on several nonmatrix proteins such as big endothelial 1 and beta-type CGRP promoting vasoconstriction.
MMP-2 is ubiquitinous metalloproteinase that is involved in diverse functions such as remodeling of the vasculature, angiogenesis, tissue repair, tumor invasion, inflammation, atherosclerotic plaque rupture, as well as degrading extracellular matrix proteins. MMP-2 cleaves KISS at a Gly-|-Leu bond and appears to have a role in myocardial cell death pathways.
Recombinant Human Matrix Metalloproteinase-2 is produced by our Mammalian expression system and the target gene encoding Ala30-Cys660 is expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
The proenzyme needs to be activated by APMA for an activated form.

Recombinant Human SOD1 Protein (E. coli, N-6His)
SOD1 binds copper and zinc ions and is one of three isozymes responsible for destroying free superoxide radicals in the body. SOD1 neutralizes supercharged oxygen molecules, which can damage cells if their levels are not controlled. The enzyme protects the cell against dangerous levels of superoxide. |
Recombinant Human SOD2 (HEK293, C-6His)
SOD2 is a mitochondrial matrix protein that forms a homotetramer and binds one manganese ion per subunit. SOD2 transforms toxic superoxide, a byproduct of the mitochondrial electron transport chain into hydrogen peroxide and diatomic oxygen. |
Recombinant Human MMP13 Protein (E. coli, N-His)
The MMP-13 protein plays a role in the degradation of extracellular matrix proteins, especially fibrillar collagen, fibronectin, TNC, and ACAN. It cleaves triple-helical collagen, preferentially cleaves type II collagen, and can also target other collagen types. |
Recombinant Human MMP12 Protein (E. coli)
Matrix metalloproteinase-12 (MMP12) is a macrophage-secreted elastase that is highly induced in the liver and lung in response to S. mansoni eggs and contains four hemopexin-like domains. MMP12 is a proteolytic enzyme responsible for the cleavage of plasminogen to angiotensin, which has an angiostatic effect. |
Recombinant Human MMP-8 Protein (HEK293, C-His)
Matrix metalloproteinase-8 (MMP-8) is a member of the peptidase M1A family. MMP-8 may affect the metastatic behavior of breast cancer cells through protection against lymph node metastasis, underlining the importance of anti-target identification in dгυg development. |
