Recombinant Human IL-13 Protein is an immunomodulatory cytokine, mainly produced by activated Th2 cells, mast cells and NK cells. Interleukin-13 plays an important role in the elimination of gastrointestinal parasites. rhIL-13 has anti-inflammatory effects on monocytes and macrophages, and inhibits the expression of inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8. IL-13 has also been shown to promote B cells Proliferate and induce isoform conversion, thereby increasing the production of IgE. Blocking IL-13 activity can inhibit the pathophysiology of asthma. Human and mouse IL-13 are cross-species responses.
