Biological Activity

Recombinant Human IL-10 Protein (Interleukin-10) (HEK 293) is an immunosuppressive cytokine produced by a variety of mammalian cell types, including macrophages, monocytes, T cells, B cells, and keratinocytes. Interleukin-10 (IL-10) inhibits the expression of IL-1 and TNF-α and other pro-inflammatory cytokines. Like IL-4, IL-10 enhances the humoral immune response and weakens the cell-mediated immune response. Human Interleukin-10 pairs Mouse cells are active, while mouse interleukin-10 has no activity on human cells.
