Bioactivity: Fully bioactive compared to the standard. The bioactive concentration was 50.0-100.0 ng/ mL by chemotactic bioassay of human peripheral blood eosinophils. Eotaxin-2 selectively chemically attracts cCR3-expressing cells, including eosinophils, basophils, Th2 T cells, mast cells, and certain subpopulations of dendritic cells. In addition, EOtaxin-2 inhibits the proliferation of pluripotent hematopoietic progenitors. The mature protein, which also includes a C-terminal truncation, contains 78 amino acid residues (mouse homolog 92 A.A. Residues, no C-terminal truncation).
