Omadacycline (PTK 0796) mesylate, the first (first-in-class) orally active aminomethylcycline antibiotic, is a tetracycline antibiotic. Omadacycline mesylate can be used to study acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections, infectious pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
