Biological Activity

K6PC-5 is a potent and selective sphingosine kinase 1 (SphK1 or SK1) activator that increases keratin 1 and involucrin expression in normal human epidermal keratinocytes cultured in vitro. K6PC-5 promotes differentiation and proliferation of keratinocytes via intracellular Ca2+ signaling.
