Biological Activity

Isoscopoletin (6-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin) is an active ingredient in artemisia argyi leaves. Isoscopoletin showed significant inhibition of cell proliferation, with IC50 values of 4.0 μM and 1.6 μM against human CCRF-CEM leukemia cells and CEM/ADR5000 drug-resistant subline, respectively. Isoscopoletin (6-Hydroxy-7-methoxycoumarin) has the activity of inhibiting HBV replication.

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
