Dibenzazoline is a class IA antiarrhythmic compound. Cibenzoline (μM concentration) can block ATP-sensitive K channels in heart and pancreatic cells. Cibenzoline interacts with the cytoplasmic K(ATP) channel pore subunits (Kir6.2). Dibenzazoline also inhibited the delayed rectification K current of atrial nodal cells [I(Kr)].
