Biological Activity

2-BFI hydrochloride is a high-affinity Imidzoline I2 receptor ligand (Ki = 9.8 nM). In an in vivo functional assay, 2-BFI produces ipsiversive rotational behavior in rats with a full 6-OHDA lesion of the nigrostriatal tract.
