Biological Activity

Laminaran is a β-1-3-glucan from Eisenia Bicyclis, consisting of β(1→3)-glucans with β(1→6) branches, which can be catalyzed by glucoamylases such as (EC 3.2.1.6). Laminaran is also a typical ligand for Dectin-1, which has immunomodulatory, radioprotective and anticancer activities. It can be used in cancer immunity studies.
