Biological Activity

Gap19 TFA is a nonapeptide derived from the cytoplasmic loop (CL) of Cx43 and acts as a selective connexin 43 (Cx43) hemichannel blocker. Gap19 TFA blocks Cx43 hemichannels without inhibiting gap junctions (GJs) at IC50 of 6.5 μM when applied intracellulary.
