Cyanine5-Bovine Serum Albumin (CY5-BSA) is a fluorescent marker that labels the near-infrared fluorescent dye CY5 onto bovine serum albumin (BSA), which can be used for cell labelling, tissue imaging and in vivo imaging experiments. Due to the long wavelength property of CY5, it can penetrate biological tissues well and is suitable for imaging deep tissues, especially in small animal in vivo imaging.
CY5-BSA complex is widely used in immunological studies, especially in enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and immunohistochemistry for detecting antigen-antibody reactions. Its strong fluorescent signal makes the detection more sensitive.
