Amylin, amide, human is a 37-amino acid polypeptide, it is a pancreatic hormone cosecreted with insulin that exerts unique roles in metabolism and glucose homeostasis. Amylin, amide, human inhibits glucagon secretion, delays gastric emptying, and acts as a satiety agent.

Cell lines | MCF-7 cells |
Preparation method | MCF-7 cells endogenously express human amylin receptor CTR1 and CTR2. Stimulation of the receptor with Amylin, amide, human results in the production of cAMP. Amylin, amide, human (0.001 nM-1000 μM) results in an EC50 of 35.2±7.5 nM. |

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by | Animal B Km |

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.

Trofinetide
Trofinetide, a water-soluble analog of glycine-proline-glutamic acid (GPE), uses the unnatural amino acid 2-methylproline in place of the proline found in the natural compound, and works by enhancing synaptic activity, restoring synaptic structure, inhibiting the effects of inflammatory compounds in the brain, increasing antioxidant responses, reducing injury-induced cell death, and increasing central IGF-1 presence. It has neuroprotective activity and can be used in studies related to Rett syndrome. |
Hemopressin (human, mouse)
Hemopressin is a natriuretic peptide derived from the α1 chain of hemoglobin, originally isolated from rat brain homogenates. Hemopressin is also an orally potent, selective inverse agonist at the CB1 cannabinoid receptor.Hemopressin has anti-injury sensory effects in models of inflammatory pain. |
Trypsin Inhibitor (from Soybean)
Trypsin inhibitor is an alkaline polypeptide consisting of 58 amino acid residues with a pear shape throughout the molecule and a lysine activity center. It can compete with the activity center of many proteases for a lysyl group and inhibit their activities. |
