(±)-Praeruptorin A has been widely used as one of the traditional Chinese medicines to study cough with thick sputum and dyspnea, non-natural cough and upper respiratory tract infection. (±)-Praeruptorin A can be used as A Ca2+- reflux blocker in the study of hypertension.
