Triclabendazole is a benzimidazole, it binds to tubulin impairing intracellular transport mechanisms and interferes with protein synthesis. Triclabendazole induces gasdermin E (GSDME)-dependent pyroptosis by caspase-3 activation. Triclabendazole can be used for the research of fasciola hepatica.
