Biological Activity

SM 324405 is a potent TLR7 agonist (EC50 = 50 nM). Exhibits selectivity for TLR7 over TLR8. Induces IFN-α and -γ expression in human PBMCs and mouse splenocytes, and inhibits IL-5 production in human PBMCs in vitro. Rapidly metabolized to acid metabolite (t½ = 2.6 min in human plasma).

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
