Beauvericin is a fusarium toxin. It has a wide range of antifungal, antibacterial, protozoal and insecticidal activities, exhibits ionic properties and inhibits acyl-coenzyme: cholesterol acyltransferase activity; Apoptosis was induced by increasing intracellular calcium levels.
