| Description: | Pipecolic acid, a lysine metabolite, is an important immunomodulator in plants and humans, and an important precursor for many useful microbial secondary metabolites. Pipecolic acid slows ferroptosis in diabetic retinopathy by inhibiting the YAP-GPX4 signaling pathway. In addition, Pipecolic acid can be used as a diagnostic marker for pyridoxine-dependent epilepsy. |
