Description: Lofepramine (Lopramine) is a potent tricyclic antidepressant and is extensively metabolised to Desipramine. Lofepramine may also potentiate serotoninergic neurotransmission by inhibition of the neuronal uptake of serotonin and the enzyme tryptophan pyrrolase.
