Product Information
Description: Tryptamine is a monoamine alkaloid and may play a role as a neuromodulator or neurotransmitter. It is an agonist of hTAAR1. It acts as a non-selective serotonin receptor agonist and serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine releasing agent (SNDRA). Tryptamine is a selective, blood-brain-penetrating 5-HT4 receptor agonist (EC50=1-3 mM) and an endogenous ligand of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AHR) (Kd=10-50 nM). Tryptamine promotes intestinal anion secretion and fluid transport by activating G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs).

Stability and Solubility Advice: Information concerning product stability, particularly in solution, has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide.
We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored aliquoted in tightly sealed vials and used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Storage conditions for some special products should refer to their storage details.
