| Description: | Echinacoside is a phenethyl alcohol-type natural polyphenolic compound that was originally discovered in Echinacea angustifolia and is now primarily extracted from Cistanche tubulosa. It possesses neuroprotective, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, osteogenic, cardioprotective, antitumour and immunomodulatory activities. Echinacoside also effectively inhibits the Wnt/β-catenin signalling pathway. Echinacoside exerts its neuroprotective effects by activating Trk receptors and their downstream signalling pathways. |
