Description: | 4-Azido-L-phenylalanine is an unnatural amino acid, which is used as an effective vibrational reporter of local protein environments. 4-Azido-L-phenylalanine contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. Strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) can also occur with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups. |
Stability and Solubility Advice: | Information concerning product stability, particularly in solution, has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide. We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored aliquoted in tightly sealed vials and used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Storage conditions for some special products should refer to their storage details. |
