Product Information
Description: 12-Hydroxynevirapine (12-hydroxy-NVP; 12-OH-NVP) is a major oxidative metabolite of Nevirapine. Nevirapine is a non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor indicated for the HIV-1 infections. Nevirapine causes idiosyncratic hepatotoxicity and mild-to-severe skin rashes. 12-Hydroxynevirapine, a non-reactive metabolite, can be bioactivated by sulphotransferases (SULTs) in the liver and skin, yielding the reactive species 12-Sulphoxy-nevirapine.

Stability and Solubility Advice: Information concerning product stability, particularly in solution, has rarely been reported and in most cases we can only offer a general guide.
We recommend that stock solutions, once prepared, are stored aliquoted in tightly sealed vials and used within 1 month. Avoid repeated freeze and thaw cycles. Storage conditions for some special products should refer to their storage details.
