| Description: | 12-HETE is a metabolite of arachidonic acid catalyzed by lipoxygenase (12-LOX). It is also a highly selective ligand that can be used to label mu opioid receptors in membrane and tissue sections. In addition, 12-HETE functions as an inhibitor of apoptosis. |
