Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (LCN2) is a secreted protein that belongs to the kallikrein superfamily. This protein is released from injured renal tubular cells after various destructive stimuli and has been described by nephrologists as one of the most promising biomarkers of afferent acute kidney injury (AKI). Recent evidence also suggests its role as a biomarker in various other renal and non-renal diseases. In addition, recent studies seem to indicate that this factor may also be involved in the development and progression of chronic kidney disease.NGAL is the first known mammalian protein that specifically binds organic molecules called glycosides, which are high-affinity iron chelators.NGAL was first known as an antimicrobial factor of natural immunity and an acute phase protein, and is currently one of the most interesting and enigmatic proteins. As an intracellular iron carrier and protector of MMP9 from proteolysis, NGAL has a significant pro-tumor effect and has been observed in different human tumors (e.g. breast, stomach, esophagus, brain). In thyroid cancer, NGAL is strongly induced by NF-kB, an important factor involved in the link between tumor growth and chronic inflammation and tumor development. Thus, Lipocalin-2 (LCN2/NGAL) has been implicated in various processes, including cell differentiation, proliferation, survival, and morphogenesis.

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.

Recombinant Human Tau-F Protein (E.coli)
Tau proteins are proteins which contain four Tau/MAP repeats. They promote microtubule assembly and stability, and might be involved in the establishment and maintenance of neuronal polarity. |
Recombinant Human Tau Protein (E. coli, His Tag)
Tau proteins are proteins that stabilize microtubules. Tau protein is a highly soluble microtubule-associated protein (MAP). In humans, these proteins are mostly found in neurons compared to non-neuronal cells. One of tau's main functions is to modulate the stability of axonal microtubules. |
Recombinant Rat IL-23 Protein (HEK293, C-His)
IL-23 (IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer) Protein is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing rat-derived IL-23 alpha & IL-12 beta Heterodimer protein, expressed by HEK293. |
Recombinant Rat IL-6 (HEK293)
Interleukin-6 (IL-6), also known as BSF-2, CDF and IFNB2, is a pleiotropic cytokine that participates in both pro-inflammatory and anti-inflammatory responses. |
Recombinant Rat IL-12 (Mammalian, C-6His)
Interleukin 12 (IL-12) has important immunological functions. IL12 facilitates hematopoietic stem cell proliferation, induces NK cell proliferation, and potentiates the expansion and late activation of Th1 CD4+ T cells. |
