Biological Activity

Omadacycline (PTK 0796) hydrochloride, as a tetracycline antibiotic, is the first (first-in-class) orally active aminomethylcycline antimicrobial agent. Omadacycline hydrochloride is used to study acute bacterial skin and skin structure infections, infectious pneumonia, and urinary tract infections.
