Biological Activity

N6-methyladenosine (m6A) is a base modified analog of adenosine and is found as a minor nucleoside in natural RNAs. N6-Methyladenosine is an abundant modification in mRNA and is found within some viruses, and most eukaryotes including mammals, insects, plants and yeast. N6-Methyladenosine is a widespread RNA modification in many tissues with high levels in the brain. N6-Methyladenosine is enriched near stop codons and within 3’UTRs in both mouse and human mRNAs.

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
