Ezutromid (BMN-195, SMT C1100) is a first-in-class oral bioavailable utrophin translational modulator with an EC50 value of 0.4 uM. Ezutromid induces an increase in the level of myotrophic protein RNA in human muscle cells. SMTC1100 resulted in a 30% increase in Utrn mRNA levels and an approximately two-fold increase in UTRN protein levels. The reference dose of Ezutromid in vivo is 50 mg/kg.
