Biological Activity

Exenatide (AC2993) is a first-in-class glucagon-like peptide 1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist consisting of 39 amino acids. Exendin-4 can be used as an incretin mimic to treat HepG2 cells to exclude the effects of adjuvant materials. It can also be used as a r (GLP-1R) agonist to eliminate interference from auxiliary materials. exenatide (AC2993) can be used to treat ob/ob mouse models to determine glucose and insulin concentrations and homeostasis assessment models (HOMA). It can promote the birth and proliferation of beta cells, thus contributing to the regeneration of the pancreas. It is the ligand of the XC receptor and can also lead to increased cAMP level in acinar cells.

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
