Biological Activity

BS3 (bis(sulfosuccinimidyl)suberate) is an interamino acid crosslinker that is water soluble, non-cleavable, and membrane impermeable and is used in the synthesis of antibody coupled drugs (ADCs).

Applications:

- Crosslinking of cell surface proteins prior to cell lysis and immunoprecipitation.

- Identification of receptor ligand interactions by chemical cross-linking

- Identify weak or transient protein interactions by "immobilizing" them

- Identification of neighboring protein interactions

- Protein cross-linking in a one-step reaction to obtain biocouplings

- Immobilization of proteins on amino-coated surfaces

Animal A (mg/kg) = Animal B (mg/kg) multiplied by  Animal B Km
Animal A Km

For example, to modify the dose of Compound A used for a mouse (20 mg/kg) to a dose based on the BSA for a rat, multiply 20 mg/kg by the Km factor for a mouse and then divide by the Km factor for a rat. This calculation results in a rat equivalent dose for Compound A of 10 mg/kg.
